When start new job at Eagle Ottawa Im respond for the Non J-OEM. Im handle of the Mercedes Benz model and have design change. Im respond to set up the new sale price base on this change and submit new sale price to customer. For this activity have time 2 weeks for discuss explain the detail of change with customer to approve the new sale price.
Finally, customer accept the new sale price and Im can additional sale price increase 20% with the margin increase from previous 7%
2. Gain the new business from Nissan for P02F ( Kick )
For this model in global ( Europe, USA and China ) Eagle didnt supply this program. For the Thailand model Eagle gain this business and reason award this program from below.
a. Have more relation with the Nissan Purchasing from TOP middle and in charge. ( Long working more than 10 yrs )
b. Have good support from team ( PD, plant and key account team from Japan )
c. Understand the cultural of customer and working style.
3. Increase the sale price and profit for TOYOTA CHR program.
Walk sale price from award to lasted design and increase the sale price from the award to new sale price + 15% sand improve the % profit + 9% from the current.
4. To share and training to concern department to understand the J-OEM work standard and working style by each customer ( Toyota, Honda, Nissan )
Refer the more experience from the J-OEM for long time and Eagle Ottawa is American company and just 6 years operation in Thailand. A lot of staff didnt have experience to working with J-OEM for the document standard and working style. I have to set up training course for share and training to all staff to more understand and what working style by each OEM.
With TAKATA. ( Air Bag, Seat Belt and Steering Wheel business )
1. On 2008 have new global project for Honda new Jazz.
Customer looking some production location can support the competitive price for this program.
Im set up team for prepare the cost from Thailand plant as below.
Thailand new project team ( Im is leader other member in below )
- Engineering team.
- Purchasing team.
- Production team.
Im is leader and communicate with team to create the good design with low cost and high efficacy for production of work.
Also Im close communication with customer to looking what is they looking for the new program with QCDS ( Quality, Cost, Delivery and Service ) after get all information. Im set up the strategy of this program with team and set up the sale price from Thailand plant submit to Japan top management approve before submit quote to customer.
The result of this activity we are win the new business and will supply the all product from Thailand to other location as global model.
Base on this win business the annual sale will increase 3 time from the current and build new plant for support the new program and employee also will increase from 700 1,200 employees.
For myself to promote to Sale Manager from this project.
2. On 2010 have win business ECO car business from Nissan.
Nissan have set up the ECO business in Thailand.
Im also the leader of Thailand plant to set up team to support this program for RFQ state.
Im a lot of communicate with customer for correct the target price for this program and make a good relation with customer and more support from customer when they select the supplier for this program.
And check the competitor information for compare with current our status.
Also Im more communication with internal team to explain what team have to do until win of this business.
Finally we win for this business in Thailand and after that will expand business to Indonesia , Malaysia and India.
3. Cost reduction activity and price adjustment with customer.
Year by year all customer will request to cost reduction ( CR ) on 2013 is all customer are higher request to TAKATA total about 8% from total domestic sale around 120 MB.
On that time Ill set up the strategy with my team to handle each customer.
1. To review the any VA/VE idea to support CR request.
2. To review the exchange adjustment to compensate with CR request.
3. To review the material adjustment to compensate with CR request.
4. To use the more relation with customer to minimize CR request from customer.
Finally, for this activity is close with the actual pay to customer for CR 2.5% and safe cost to company 5.5% base on customer request.
